Regular Season Round 1: Vysocina - Opava 2010 94-61

Vysocina used a home court advantage and crushed the opponent from Opava 94-61 on Sunday night. Vysocina dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Opava 2010's 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 30 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Opava 2010's players. Guard Miroslav Krajcigr (178-94) stepped up and scored 22 points and 6 assists for the winners and Martin Novak (199-93) chipped in 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Vysocina's coach Petr Pesout felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. At the losing side power forward Jiri Dihel (198-89) responded with 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Simon Kurecka (190-97) scored 19 points. Vysocina will face Novy Jicin (#7) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Opava 2010 will play against Pardubice and hope to win that game.
