Regular Season Round 4: Bamberg - Vilsbiburg 100-85

Date: October 5, 2019
We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when seventh ranked Bamberg (3-2) won against at home 6th ranked Vilsbiburg (3-3) 100-85 on Saturday. Bamberg looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for guard Michael Lachmann (192-89) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists. French center Andy Rico (198-91) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) for the winners. American swingman Kendall Stafford (193-97, college: N.Alabama) replied with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 11 rebounds and naturalized American guard Kenny Fluellen (191-90, college: Paine) added 16 points in the effort for Vilsbiburg. Five Bamberg and four Vilsbiburg players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Bamberg have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to sixth place in South-East, which they share with FC Bayern III. Loser Vilsbiburg dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Bamberg will face Schwabing (#11) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Vilsbiburg will play against Ansbach and hope to win that game.
