Regular Season Round 3: Delikatesas - Silute 84-88

Silute delivered the third consecutive victory on Thursday night. This time they beat Delikatesas (1-2) 88-84 in Joniskis. They outrebounded Delikatesas 39-27 including 26 on the defensive glass. Silute looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Valdas Vasylius (203-83, college: ODU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds. American guard Byron Sanford (182-93, college: Trevecca Naz.) helped adding 11 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists. Four Silute players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Eimantas Stankevicius (192-98, agency: Octagon Europe) with 24 points and 6 rebounds and international Andrius Globys (198-95) scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Delikatesas' coach Robertas Giedraitis tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Silute will meet at home Zalgiris II (#4) in the next round. Delikatesas will play against Telsiai (#6) in Telsiu and hope to win that game.
