There was a small surprise in Wildau where fifth ranked Goetting.ASC (3-1) defeated their close opponent WSG Koenigs (2-3) 87-72 on Saturday. Swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and point guard Daniel-Benjamin Borchers (185-97) chipped in 21 points. Guard Nico Adamczak (191-90) responded with 20 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Alexander Giese (180-94) scored 15 points. WSG Koenigs' coach rotated ten players saving starting five for next games. Goetting.ASC have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Wolmirstedt. Loser WSG Koenigs dropped to the eighth position with three games lost. Goetting.ASC will face Bramsche TuS (#8) at home in the next round. WSG Koenigs will play against Rendsburg and hope to win that game.
