Regular Season Round 4: Belfast Star - Maree 77-61

We should mention about the upset which took place in Belfast, where 7th ranked Maree (1-3) lost to tenth ranked Belfast Star (2-2) in a road game 61-77 on Saturday. Belfast Star looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Delaney Blaylock (196, college: Lewis) who helped to win the game recording 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Christopher Fulton (172-2) who added 15 points and 8 assists during the contest. Belfast Star's coach used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side point guard Eoin Rockall (185-98) responded with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American guard Darin Johnson (196-95, college: CSUN) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Belfast Star moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Maree lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. They share it with Moycullen and Killorglin. Belfast Star will meet at home Moycullen (#11) in the next round where they are favorite. Maree will play against UCD Marian and hope to win that game.
