But NH Ostrava was not able to use a home court advantage and was crushed by the opponent from Svitavy 105-75 on Saturday night. Svitavy looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. It was an exceptional evening for forward Matej Svoboda (200-96, college: Dayton) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. American forward Sean OBrien (198-94, college: SIU) accounted for 24 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. American point guard Josh Newkirk (185-94, college: Indiana) came up with 24 points and 7 assists and the former international forward Petr Bohacik (205-85, agency: Octagon Europe) added 9 points and 9 rebounds respectively for NH Ostrava in the defeat. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Svitavy will meet at home Brno (#10) in the next round. NH Ostrava will play against BK Kolin and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
