We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 5th ranked Koshigaya A. (2-6) lost on the road to sixth ranked Fukuoka R. (1-7) 88-72 on Saturday. Fukuoka R. made 22-of-27 free shots (81.5 percent) during the game. Fukuoka R. outrebounded Koshigaya A. 46-24 including a 31-19 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. His fellow American import swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll., agency: Inception Sports) contributed with 20 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Washburn is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American guard Charles Hinkle (198-88, college: American) answered with 29 points and 5 assists and Tomoya Ochiai (195-87) added 10 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Koshigaya A.Koshigaya A.'s coach rotated ten players seeing no chance for a win. Fukuoka R. maintains sixth place with 1-7 record. Newly promoted Koshigaya A. dropped to the fourth position with six games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
