Regular Season Round 4: Shiga L-Stars - Tochigi B. 90-96

There was a small surprise when fifth ranked Tochigi B. (2-2) beat on the road their close opponent Shiga L-Stars (0-4) 96-90 on Sunday. They outrebounded Shiga L-Stars 41-29 including a 28-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Tochigi B. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. The former international guard Yusuke Endo (185-89) contributed with 19 points for the winners. Tochigi B.'s coach Ryuzo Anzai used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American swingman Henry Walker (198-87, college: Kansas St.) replied with 24 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and his fellow American import power forward Charles Rhodes (203-85, college: Mississippi St.) added 17 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Five Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Tochigi B. moved-up to second place, which they share with Chiba J. and Toyama G. Loser Shiga L-Stars still closes the standings with four games lost. Tochigi B. will face Chiba J. (#4) on the road in the next round. Shiga L-Stars will play against Shimane Magic and look forward to get finally their first victory.
