Regular Season Round 12: Titanes - Cimarrones 95-87

An exciting game was played in . First ranked Titanes faced 3rd ranked Cimarrones. Host Titanes (8-2) defeated guests from Quibdo-Choco (4-6) 95-87. Titanes dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Cimarrones' 40. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Qiydar Davis (198-93, college: Indiana St., agency: SDJ Sports) who helped to win the game recording 30 points and 5 rebounds and American-Dominican swingman Luis Jacobo (196-91, college: PFW) who added 22 points during the contest. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. The best for the losing side was Venezuelan center Miguel Bolivar (205-92) with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and Venezuelan point guard Emiro Hernandez (188-94) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds. Four Titanes and five Cimarrones players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Titanes have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 8-2 record. Cimarrones lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Fast Break. Titanes will meet bottom-ranked Warriors (#7) in the next round where they are favorite. Cimarrones will play against Piratas in Bogota and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
