The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Horsens IC as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Horsens IC smashed 5th ranked Svendborg at home 78-59. At the losing side American forward Zach Charles (201-95, college: EKU) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Sebastian Petersen (188-95) scored 12 points and 6 assists. Horsens IC (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. Svendborg at the other side dropped to the second place with four games lost. They share the position with Copenhagen. Svendborg will play next round against strong Bakken trying to get back on the winning streak. Horsens IC will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Copenhagen at home.
