Regular Season Round 5: Litomerice - Sokol Prazky 100-46

Rather predictable result in Litomerice where second ranked Slavoj Litom. (4-1) smashed 6th ranked Sokol Prazky (2-3) 100-46 on Friday. Slavoj Litom. held Sokol Prazky to an opponent 21.2 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.4 percent accuracy of the winners. Slavoj Litom. forced 25 Sokol Prazky turnovers and outrebounded them 55-34 including a 40-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Slavoj Litom. looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 2 passes made by Sokol Prazky's players. Sokol Prazky was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Jakub Zbroj (193-94) stepped up and scored 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and Jan Karlovsky (200-99) chipped in 16 points and 13 rebounds. Matej Kohout (193-94) responded with 8 points and 6 rebounds and guard Jan Sop (185-96) scored 10 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Slavoj Litom.. They maintain second place in West with 4-1 record behind leader Zlin. Loser Sokol Prazky dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Slavoj Litom. will face USK Praha B (#5) at home in the next round. Sokol Prazky will play against J.Hradec and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
