Regular Season Round 5: Kondori Lib. - Sokol Pisek 64-107

1Liga top team - Sokol Pisek (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Kondori Lib. (0-5) in Liberec 107-64. Sokol Pisek dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to Kondori Lib.'s 24. Sokol Pisek forced 24 Kondori Lib. turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. Swingman Petr Slechta (192-95) nailed 21 points and 6 steals for the winning side and guard Vojtech Sykora (190-1) accounted for 10 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Five Sokol Pisek players scored in double figures. Point guard Filip Kroutil (190-96) came up with 25 points and power forward Jakub Skalicka (207-99) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for Kondori Lib. in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Sokol Pisek. They maintain first place in West with 5-0 record. Kondori Lib. lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team still closes the standings with five games lost. Sokol Pisek will play against Polabi (#3) in Nymburk in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kondori Lib. will play on the road against Sokol Vyseh. (#4) in Vysehrad and hopes to get finally their first victory.
