No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Belfast Star (3-2) beat at home 11th ranked Moycullen (1-4) 76-68 on Saturday. Point guard Christopher Fulton (172-2) nailed 25 points, 8 assists and 4 steals for the winning side and the former international guard Aidan Quinn (185-95, college: Mayville St.) accounted for 15 points and 5 rebounds. Belfast Star's coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American guard Grant Olsson (196, college: Lincoln, MO) came up with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and point guard Paul Kelly (186-1) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Moycullen in the defeat. Belfast Star moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Moycullen lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with Maree and Killorglin. Belfast Star will meet Killorglin (#10) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Moycullen will play against Dublin L. and hope to win that game.
