Regular Season Round 6: Shiga L-Stars - Nagoya DD 83-67

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Diamond Dolphins (4-2) against fifth ranked Shiga L-Stars (2-4) on Saturday night. Visiting Diamond Dolphins were defeated by Shiga L-Stars in Shiga 83-67. American swingman Henry Walker (198-87, college: Kansas St.) notched a triple-double by scoring 27 points, 15 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the effort and the other American import power forward Charles Rhodes (203-85, college: Mississippi St.) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Even a double-double of 10 points and 12 rebounds by American center Hilton Armstrong (210-84, college: Connecticut) did not help to save the game for Diamond Dolphins. International power forward Tenketsu Harimoto (198-92) added 15 points and 4 assists. Four Shiga L-Stars and five Diamond Dolphins players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Shiga L-Stars moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Sea Horses M. and Chiba J. Diamond Dolphins at the other side keep the second position with two games lost. Shiga L-Stars' next round opponent will be again league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya and it may be the game of the week.
