Kirchheim Knights can celebrate finally their first win this season after five consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Paderborn, where they defeated Uni Baskets (1-4) 87-82. Kirchheim Knights made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. The game was dominated by American players. It was a good game for point guard Jalan McCloud (180-95, college: ETSU) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 6 assists. Forward Keith Rendleman (203-90, college: UNCW, agency: HMS) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Guard Kendale McCullum (185-96, college: Lewis) replied with 20 points, 8 assists and 4 steals (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line) and forward Ryan Logan (200-94, college: Stonehill) added 22 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Uni Baskets. Five Kirchheim Knights and four Uni Baskets players scored in double figures. Kirchheim Knights (1-5) left bottom position moving up to sixteenth place, which they share with Schwenningen. Uni Baskets at the other side dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Rostock and Art.Dragons. Kirchheim Knights will play against higher ranked Chemnitz (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Uni Baskets will play against Walter Tigers (#6) in Tuebingen to get more than just one victory in their record.
