Very expected game in Hamamatsu where bottom-ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (0-6) was defeated by top-ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (4-0) 87-72 on Saturday. Hitachi Sunrockers looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. The best player for the winners was Spanish forward Sebastian Saiz (205-94, college: Ole Miss) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. American Ryan Kelly (211-91, college: Duke) chipped in 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was American center Kyle Barone (203-89, college: Idaho) who recorded 16 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and point guard Shuto Terazono (165-94) added 13 points and 7 assists respectively. Four Hitachi Sunrockers and five San-en NeoPhoenix players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games.
