Regular Season Round 10: Kagawa FA - Fukuoka R. 85-69

Very expected game when 6th ranked Fukuoka R. (1-9) lost to second ranked Kagawa FA (6-2) in Takamatsu 69-85 on Saturday. Kagawa FA dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Fukuoka R.'s 30. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. American players dominated the game. Quite impressive performance for guard Terrance Woodbury (201-87, college: Georgia) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Kevin Kotzur (203-89, college: St.Mary's, TX) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Woodbury is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and swingman Sean Marshall (198-85, college: Boston Coll., agency: Inception Sports) added 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Fukuoka R.Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Kagawa FA have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 6-2 record having 2 victories less than leader Hiroshima D. Loser Fukuoka R. keeps the sixth place with nine games lost. Kagawa FA will face again Fukuoka R. (#6) at home in the next round.
