Regular Season Round 5: Alba - Lucca 74-72

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Alba (4-1) edged at home 10th ranked Lucca (1-4) 74-72 on Sunday. However just two-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The best player for the winners was forward Tommaso Rossi (202-99, agency: Agency) who scored 20 points. Guard Diego Terenzi (190-95) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Marco Petrucci (193-92) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and Andrea Del-Debbio (195-99) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Lucca's coach Michele Catalani tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Alba moved-up to second place in B, which they share with Monfalcone and Lecco. Newly promoted Lucca dropped to the thirteenth position with four games lost. Alba will face Omegna (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Lucca will play against Alessandria FB (#10) and hope to win that game.
