There was a minor upset in Balikesir where Final Spor (1-1) was defeated by Bandirma Kir. (1-1) 86-74 on Sunday. Bandirma Kir. forced 20 Final Spor turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Eray Akyuz (187-0) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists. Center Furkan Haltali (207-2) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. American point guard Marlain Veal (175-96, college: SE Louisiana) produced a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Alparslan Uruk (199-88) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Final Spor's coach Levent Erdogan rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Bandirma Kir. will meet Manisa (#9) on the road in the next round.
