Regular Season Round 7: Toyama G. - Osaka E. 67-82

An interesting game for Osaka E. (4-2) which played road game in Toyama against their biggest opponent Toyama G. (3-4). Third ranked Osaka E. had an easy win 82-67. They made 16-of-19 charity shots (84.2 percent) during the game. Osaka E. outrebounded Toyama G. 43-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists. It was a great evening for American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. American-North Macedonian center Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama) helped adding 14 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists. At the losing side American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) responded with 23 points and 9 rebounds and international forward Naoki Uto (188-91) scored 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Toyama G. players scored in double figures. Toyama G.'s coach Don Beck rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Osaka E. maintains third place with 4-2 record having just three points less than leader Kyoto H. which they share with defeated Toyama G. Toyama G. at the other side dropped to the third position with four games lost. Osaka E. will play against league's second-placed Diamond Dolphins in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Toyama G. will play on the road against Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
