Regular Season Round 8: Tokyo CR - Saitama B. 68-63

There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Saitama Broncos (3-4) were defeated on the road by tenth ranked Tokyo CR (2-6) 68-63 on Monday. Worth to mention a great performance of American center Joshua Crawford (211-88, college: Indiana St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 16 rebounds and 4 blocks and Senegalese Elhadji Seck (204-90, college: Idaho, agency: Interperformances) who added 11 points and 16 rebounds during the contest. Crawford is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Thailand power forward Jalen Robinson (206-93, college: Dalton St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks and Bahamas Mark StFort (200-88, college: Warner) scored 8 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Tokyo CR maintains tenth position with 2-6 record, which they share with Kanazawa. Loser Saitama Broncos dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Shizuoka. Tokyo CR's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo HT.
