Regular Season Round 15: Piratas - Titanes 74-91

An interesting game for Titanes (10-3) which played road game in Bogota against 3rd placed Piratas (7-6). First ranked Titanes had an easy win 91-74. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Piratas. It was a great evening for American-Dominican swingman Luis Jacobo (196-91, college: PFW) who led his team to a victory scoring 31 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center John Hernandez (207-84) helped adding 23 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). The best for the losing side was Venezuelan forward Elder Gimenez (186-91) with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and Venezuelan guard Yohanner Sifontes (192-95) scored 14 points. Defending champion maintains first place with 10-3 record. Piratas at the other side dropped to the second position with six games lost. They share it with Academia. Titanes will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Piratas will play again against the league's leader Titanes and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
