Finals Game 1: San Jose - Olimpia 106-74

Date: October 24, 2019
San Jose outgunned Olimpia in the Finals opener. The game was mostly controlled by San Jose. Olimpia managed to win fourth quarter 25-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for San Jose especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Panamanian center Jaime Lloreda (204-80, college: LSU) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Scott Rogers (196, college: Trine) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. Five San Jose players scored in double figures. American forward Brandon Bowman (205-84, college: Georgetown, agency: David Lee Services) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and the former international swingman Federico Mellone (193-85) added 9 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Olimpia. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games.
