Regular Season Round 7: Asker Aliens - Ammerud Bskt 84-75

Asker Aliens has finally registered their first victory this season after four consecutive losses. The win is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked Ammerud Bskt (3-4) 84-75 on Thursday. It was a great evening for DR Congolese forward Djo Loo-Yele (203-82) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 13 rebounds. American point guard Eric Gilchrese (183-87, college: UNH) helped adding 14 points and 8 rebounds. Gilchrese is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the losing side American point guard Ilarion Bonhomme (180-91) responded with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists and the other American import guard Armani Cotton (201-91, college: Yale) produced a double-double by scoring 19 points and 15 rebounds. Five Asker Aliens and four Ammerud Bskt players scored in double figures. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Asker Aliens (1-4) left bottom position moving up to ninth place. Ammerud Bskt at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Asker Aliens are looking forward to face higher ranked Tromso (#5) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ammerud Bskt will play against Fyllingen BBK and is hoping to win this game.
