Regular Season Round 6: Olomouc Bbal - Komf. Brno 87-83

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Komf. Brno (2-4) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Olomouc Bbal (5-0) 87-83 on Friday. However just four-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Olomouc Bbal looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was guard Jan Hlobil (190) who scored 15 points and 9 rebounds. Swingman Marek Sehnal (196-96) chipped in 18 points. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Marek Licenik (192-96) who recorded 20 points and 4 assists and forward Martin Muller (194-94) added 15 points respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Komf. Brno's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Olomouc Bbal have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain second position in East with 5-0 record behind leader Zlin. Newly promoted Komf. Brno keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Olomouc Bbal will face league's leader SKB Zlin on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Komf. Brno will play against Opava B (#4) and hope to win that game.
