Regular Season Round 7: Toulouse - Challans 89-85

There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Toulouse (3-4) beat at home 8th ranked Vendee Challans (3-4) 89-85 on Friday. Vendee Challans was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for guard Pascal Tajan (191-91) who helped to win the game recording 30 points (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field). Naturalized Algerian guard Faycal Sahraoui (188-79) contributed with 16 points and 6 assists for the winners. Guard Paul Turpin (190-93) answered with 22 points and Glenn Duro (193-88) added 15 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Vendee Challans. Five Toulouse and four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. Toulouse moved-up to eighth place in Group A, which they share with Bordeaux and Challans. Toulouse will face Vanves (#14) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game.
