Regular Season Round 7: Tours - Lorient 87-39

Rather expected game when 5th ranked Lorient (4-3) was smashed on the road by third ranked Tours (5-1) 87-39 on Friday. Tours dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Lorient's 22. Tours forced 22 Lorient turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Lorient's players. It was a very good performance for center Vincent Pourchot (222-92) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 9 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field). American forward Will Felder (201-91, college: Miami, OH, agency: Octagon Europe) contributed with 19 points and 5 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) for the winners. Cedric Andre (202-93, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 12 points and 5 rebounds and Serbian power forward Luka Nikolic (209-94) added 6 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Lorient. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Tours moved-up to second place in Group A. Loser Lorient dropped to the sixth position with three games lost. Tours will face STB Le Havre (#4) on the road in the next round. Lorient will play against Caen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
