There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Alessandria FB (1-4) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Lucca (2-4) 79-73 on Saturday. Lucca outrebounded Alessandria FB 40-21 including a 29-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 57.1 percentage. Alessandria FB was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Marco Petrucci (193-92) who scored 18 points and 5 rebounds. Point guard Alessandro Banchi (185-98) chipped in 9 points and 7 assists. Lucca's coach Michele Catalani used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
