Date: October 26, 2019
A1 top team - Panathinaikos (5-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed twelfth ranked Aris (1-5) in Athens 108-86. Panathinaikos made 19-of-23 charity shots (82.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was American guard Jimmer Fredette (188-89, college: BYU) who scored 21 points and 4 assists. His fellow American import Wesley Johnson (201-87, college: Syracuse) chipped in 15 points and 5 assists. Four Panathinaikos players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Panathinaikos. Defending champion maintains first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Peristeri GS. Aris lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. Panathinaikos' next round opponent will be again bottom-ranked Aris (#14) in Thessaloniki which should be another easy win for them. Aris will play at home against Kolossos HH and hope to win that game.
