Regular Season Round 10: Ryukyu GK - San-en NP 98-87

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Ryukyu GK (6-3) beat bottom-ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (0-10) in Okinawa 98-87 on Sunday. Ryukyu GK made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists. Quite impressive performance for the former international guard Ryuichi Kishimoto (176-90) who helped to win the game recording 31 points, 6 assists and 4 steals (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American power forward Jack Cooley (206-91, college: Notre Dame, agency: Pensack Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winners. Four Ryukyu GK players scored in double figures. American center Jessie Govan (185-97, college: Georgetown) replied with 27 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and his fellow American import forward Devin Ebanks (206-89, college: WVU) added 24 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for San-en NeoPhoenix. Ryukyu GK have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place. Loser San-en NeoPhoenix still closes the standings with ten games lost. Ryukyu GK will face Toyama G. (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. San-en NeoPhoenix will play against Osaka E. and hopes to get finally their first victory.
