Regular Season Round 10: Akita NH - Shiga L-Stars 71-68

Important game to mention about took place in Akita. Fifth ranked Akita Happinets (5-4) saved a 3-point victory at home edging their close opponent Shiga L-Stars (2-8) 71-68 in the fight for the fourth place. Akita Happinets forced 21 Shiga L-Stars turnovers. It was a very good performance for American power forward Justin Keenan (202-89, college: Ferris St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 24 points and 11 rebounds. American-Panamanian center Javier Carter (203-91, college: S.Alabama) contributed with 5 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. American swingman Henry Walker (198-87, college: Kansas St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 10 points, 12 rebounds and 7 assists and his fellow American import power forward Charles Rhodes (203-85, college: Mississippi St.) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Shiga L-Stars. Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Akita Happinets moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Osaka E. Shiga L-Stars lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth position with eight games lost. Akita Happinets will have a break next round. Shiga L-Stars will play on the road against the league's second-placed Yokohama BC (#2) and hope to win that game.
