Regular Season Round 4: San Severo - Orzinuovi 90-84

Rather predictable result when sixth ranked San Severo (3-1) won against at home 10th ranked Orzinuovi (1-3) 90-84 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Quite impressive performance for American guard Tre Demps (188-93, college: Northwestern, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who helped to win the game recording 36 points (!!!) and 5 assists (on 13-of-17 shooting from the field). The other American import power forward Markus Kennedy (206-91, college: SMU) contributed with 14 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. San Severo's coach Damiano Cagnazzo used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Nigerian forward Christian Mekowulu (206-95, college: Texas A&M) replied with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 20 rebounds and the former international point guard Stefano Bossi (185-94, agency: Players Group) added 15 points and 6 assists in the effort for Orzinuovi. San Severo moved-up to fourth place in A2. Orzinuovi at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the tenth position with three games lost. San Severo will face Roseto Sharks (#7) on the road in the next round. Orzinuovi will play against the league's leader Tezenis VER and hope to win that game.
