Regular Season Round 10: Toyama G. - Tochigi B. 72-69

Important game to mention about took place in Toyama. Fourth ranked Toyama G. (4-6) saved a 3-point victory at home edging top-ranked Tochigi B. (7-3) 72-69 on Sunday evening. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Tochigi B.. It was a great shooting night for Toyama G. especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. American forward Leo Lyons (206-87, college: Missouri) scored 22 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Daniel Orton (208-90, college: Kentucky) chipped in 15 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side American forward Ryan Rossiter (204-89, college: Siena) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 14 rebounds and the former international swingman Makoto Hiejima (190-90) scored 11 points and 6 assists. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Toyama G. moved-up to third place. Tochigi B. at the other side still keeps top position with three games lost. They share it with Kyoto H.. Toyama G. will play against Ryukyu GK (#3) in Okinawa in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Tochigi B. will play at home against the league's second-placed Toyota Alvark and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
