Regular Season Round 8: Chomutov - Loko Trutnov 70-60

No shocking result in a game when seventh ranked Chomutov (3-4) defeated at home 9th ranked Loko Trutnov (2-6) 70-60 on Friday. Chomutov dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Loko Trutnov's 34. They outrebounded Loko Trutnov 43-27 including a 16-5 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Monika Satoranska (188-93) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists and forward Tereza Vorlova (186-86) who added 16 points during the contest. Four Chomutov players scored in double figures. Anna Rylichova (174-99) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and Katerina Kozumplikova (172-93) scored 16 points. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Chomutov moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Zabiny Brno. Loser Loko Trutnov dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. They share it with Slovanka MB. Chomutov will meet higher ranked KP Brno (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Loko Trutnov will play against the league's second-placed Sokol HK (#2) and hope to secure a win.
