Regular Season Round 7: Miedzychod - Biofarm 2 93-67

Very expected game when 9th ranked Biofarm II (1-4) was crushed on the road by fifth ranked Miedzychod (4-1) 93-67 on Saturday. Miedzychod dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Biofarm II's 36. They outrebounded Biofarm II 54-25 including a 23-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Miedzychod looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Biofarm II's players. It was a great evening for Jakub Simon (202-96) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 23 rebounds. Swingman Jakub Nowak (188-89) helped adding 31 points. At the losing side guard Adrian Szajek (182-3) responded with 11 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Szymon Sobiech (195-2) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Miedzychod. They moved-up to third place in Group A, which they share with Arka II and Gniezno. Biofarm II lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the eighth position with four games lost. Miedzychod will face Arka II (#3) in Gdynia in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Biofarm II will play at home against Gniezno (#4) and hope to win that game.
