No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Alcala (5-2) defeated at home bottom-ranked Tobarra (3-4) 82-73 on Saturday. Alcala made 22-of-29 free shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Tobarra was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. Power forward Juan-Gabriel Martinez (198-93) fired a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks for the winners. Forward Sergio Rodriguez (194-84) chipped in 8 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Samuel Barros (190-98) produced 11 points and 8 rebounds and guard Acoydan McCarthy (197-99) added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for lost side. Five Tobarra players scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Alcala. Newly promoted Alcala maintains fourth place in Group B with 5-2 record, which they share with Alcobendas. Tobarra at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Alcala will face higher ranked Real Madrid II (#3) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Tobarra will play against Tenerife Naut. (#15) and hope to win that game.
