Regular Season Round 8: Boulogne - Bordeaux 88-65

Very expected game in Boulogne-sur-Mer where 8th ranked JSA Bordeaux (3-5) was crushed by third ranked SO Maritime Boulogne (6-2) 88-65 on Saturday. SO Maritime Boulogne dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to JSA Bordeaux's 28 and made 23-of-30 free shots (76.7 percent) during the game. SO Maritime Boulogne looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Urald King (198-90, college: SE Oklahoma, agency: Duran International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points and 15 rebounds and naturalized Congolese point guard Loic Akono (176-87) who added 16 points and 5 assists during the contest. Four SO Maritime Boulogne players scored in double figures. SO Maritime Boulogne's coach Thibault Wolicki felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Nathan Adrian (206-95, college: WVU, agency: Inception Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds and center Mathieu Boyer (208-95) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. SO Maritime Boulogne moved-up to second place in Group A, which they share with Le Havre. JSA Bordeaux lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the tenth position with five games lost. SO Maritime Boulogne will face Tours (#4) on the road in the next round. JSA Bordeaux will play against Lourdes-Tarbes (#14) and hope to win that game.
