There was a surprise result when tenth ranked Vendee Challans (4-4) smashed at home higher ranked Dax-Gamarde (4-4) 88-68 on Saturday. Vendee Challans made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Guinean forward Cheick-Sekou Conde (203-92) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds and center Jeremie Douillet (205-91) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) during the contest. Four Vendee Challans players scored in double figures. American forward Auston Calhoun (201-90, college: Bowling Green) responded with 17 points and 7 rebounds and center Tanguy Ramassamy (205-90, agency: Court Side) scored 9 points and 8 rebounds. Dax-Gamarde's coach Denis Mettay let to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Vendee Challans moved-up to sixth place in Group A, which they share with Lorient and Dax-Gamarde. Vendee Challans will face higher ranked Caen (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
