There was no surprise in Vladivostok where 9th ranked Spartak-Prim.-2 (3-5) was defeated by sixth ranked Unics-2 (5-3) 96-90 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 34-25 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Unics-2 forced 21 Spartak-Prim.-2 turnovers. Forward Stanislav Sevostyanov (198-99) fired 36 points (!!!) and 9 rebounds for the winners. Guard Serafim Koroteev (190-0) chipped in 11 points and 7 assists. Four Unics-2 players scored in double figures. Unics-2's coach Andrei Kibenko used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Gennadii Denisov (207-0) produced 27 points and 5 rebounds and forward Sergey Grashkin (202-2) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Unics-2 moved-up to fifth place. Newly promoted Spartak-Prim.-2 dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Unics-2 will face league's leader CSKA Junior in Moscow in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Spartak-Prim.-2 will play on the road against Zenit-2 (#6) in Sankt Petersburg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
