Regular Season Round 12: San-en NP - Osaka E. 70-87

There was no surprise in Hamamatsu where bottom-ranked San-en NeoPhoenix (0-12) was defeated by fourth ranked Osaka E. (7-4) 87-70 on Sunday. Osaka E. looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. The best player for the winners was American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) who had a double-double by scoring 31 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals. International forward Ira Brown (193-82, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Four Osaka E. players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was American forward Devin Ebanks (206-89, college: WVU) who recorded 26 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Takanobu Nishikawa (195-92) added 21 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Osaka E. maintains fourth position with 7-4 record. Loser San-en NeoPhoenix still closes the standings with 12 games lost. Osaka E. will face league's second-placed Yokohama BC at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. San-en NeoPhoenix will play against the league's leader Toshiba Thunders (#1) in Kanagawa and hopes to get finally their first victory.
