Regular Season Round 6: Limoges - Tofas 91-82

There was a minor upset when one of their biggest challengers Turkish Tofas (3-3) were defeated on the road by sixth ranked French Limoges CSP Elite (2-4) 91-82 on Wednesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tofas won third quarter 24-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Limoges CSP Elite looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Hugo Invernizzi (198-93) who scored 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. American guard Semaj Christon (190-92, college: Xavier) chipped in 19 points and 7 assists. Five Limoges CSP Elite players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Belgian-American Matt Lojeski (198-85, college: Hawaii, agency: Pensack Sports) who recorded 21 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and American guard Sammy Mejia (199-83, college: DePaul) added 17 points respectively. Limoges CSP Elite moved-up to fourth place in Group B. Loser Tofas keep the third position with three games lost. Limoges CSP Elite will face bottom-ranked Rytas (#6) in Vilnius in the next round. Tofas will play at home against the league's leader Partizan NIS and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
