Regular Season Round 9: Bordeaux - Lourdes 93-75

Rather predictable result when tenth ranked JSA Bordeaux (4-5) beat at home 14th ranked Lourdes-Tarbes (1-8) 93-75 on Friday. JSA Bordeaux dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Lourdes-Tarbes' 34. JSA Bordeaux forced 19 Lourdes-Tarbes turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. Lourdes-Tarbes was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was center Mathieu Boyer (208-95) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Sebastien Cape (184-93) chipped in a double-double by scoring 18 points and 13 assists. Four JSA Bordeaux players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Alexandre Aygalenq (187-97) who recorded 12 points and 5 assists and Jamaican Ricardo Alliman (201-87, college: Cedarville) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. JSA Bordeaux moved-up to eighth place in Group A, which they share with Vitre and Lorient. Lourdes-Tarbes lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the fourteenth position with eight games lost. JSA Bordeaux will face Vanves (#13) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Lourdes-Tarbes will play against Toulouse and hope to win that game.
