The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Pas Pielagos as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Group A-A. Pas Pielagos defeated 4th ranked La Fecha in Renedo de Pielagos 82-73. Pas Pielagos had a 23-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. Senegalese power forward Pape Seck (207-92, college: Simon Fraser) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). Canadian-British forward Denzel James (191-94, college: MacEwan) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Pas Pielagos players scored in double figures. Guard Jorge Martinez (185-96) replied with 19 points and 5 rebounds and center Hector Parras (198-89) added 14 points and 6 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) in the effort for La Fecha. La Fecha's coach Roberto Gonzalez rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Pas Pielagos (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Solares. La Fecha at the other side dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with Nissan Burgos and Ardoi. La Fecha will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Pas Pielagos will try to continue on its current victory against twelfth ranked Arha Hoteles at Santander.
