Regular Season Round 8: Svitavy - USK Praha 78-70

There was no surprise when 7th ranked USK Praha (4-5) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Svitavy (6-3) 78-70 on Saturday. Svitavy forced 20 USK Praha turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. USK Praha was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Sean OBrien (198-94, college: SIU) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Geno Crandall (193, college: Gonzaga) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Five Svitavy players scored in double figures. International point guard Ondrej Sehnal (196-97) produced 14 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists and Croatian Domagoj Proleta (207-98, agency: Alti Sport) added 19 points respectively for the guests. Svitavy moved-up to third place. USK Praha lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the eighth position with five games lost. Svitavy will face BK Pardubice (#5) on the road in the next round. USK Praha will play against BK Kolin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
