Regular Season Round 9: Albacete - L'Hospitalet 76-81

The biggest surprise of round 9 in LEB Silver was guest L'Hospitalet's (5-4) road victory over Albacete (#8) 81-76 on Saturday evening. L'Hospitalet made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great shooting night for L'Hospitalet especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.0 percentage. The best player for the winners was American guard Grant Lozoya (190-95, college: Pittsburg St., agency: Duran International) who scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. His fellow American import forward Trevin Woods (198-96, college: Arkansas Tech) chipped in 14 points. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Dominican Eddy Polanco (190-94, college: SE Louisiana) who recorded 16 points and 5 rebounds and guard Anton Bouzan (188-95, agency: Promo Sport ID) added 13 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. L'Hospitalet moved-up to fifth place in Silver. Albacete at the other side keeps the eighth position with five games lost. L'Hospitalet are looking forward to face La Roda (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Albacete will play against Pardinyes-L. in Lleida and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
