Regular Season Round 7: DiDiBao - Rivne 78-84

There was no surprise in Kamianets-Podilskyi where 9th ranked DiDiBao (1-7) was defeated by leader Rivne (6-0) 84-78 on Saturday. Rivne forced 22 DiDiBao turnovers. DiDiBao was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Oleksandr Shepelev (201-94) fired 20 points for the winners. Dmytro Tymoshchuk chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!). Guard Nikola Polyulyak (192-90) produced 16 points and guard Anatoliy Konev (196-92) added 12 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Rivne have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They moved-up to second place. DiDiBao lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the eighth position with seven games lost. Rivne will have a break next round. DiDiBao will play again at home against the league's second-placed Rivne (#2) and hope to win that game.
