Regular Season Round 8: Rybnik - MKS DG 2 75-83

Everything went according to plan when third ranked MKS DG 2 (6-1) defeated on the road 10th ranked Rybnik (2-6) 83-75 on Saturday. Power forward Przemyslaw Paduch (202-3) orchestrated the victory by scoring 24 points and 9 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!). Point guard Patryk Wieczorek (188-96) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four MKS DG 2 players scored in double figures. Forward Krzysztof Zielinski (192-82) replied with 18 points and 5 rebounds and forward Lukasz Ochodek (197-82) added 11 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Rybnik. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. MKS DG 2 have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in Group C, which they share with AZS AGH KR. Newly promoted Rybnik keeps the tenth position with six games lost. MKS DG 2 will face Jaroslaw (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Rybnik will play against AZS AWF Mick. in Katowice and hope to win that game.
