Regular Season Round 13: Osaka E. - Yokohama BC 78-66

The game had a very big importance for fourth-ranked Osaka E. as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Osaka E. defeated much higher ranked Yokohama BC at home 78-66. Osaka E. players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. American-North Macedonian center Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 blocks for the winners and American forward Josh Harrellson (208-89, college: Kentucky) chipped in 16 points and 11 rebounds. At the losing side American-Bulgarian center Jason Washburn (213-90, college: Utah, agency: Pensack Sports) responded with 18 points and 8 rebounds and guard Kouta Akiyama (188-96) scored 14 points and 4 steals. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the third consecutive win for Osaka E.. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Ryukyu GK. Yokohama BC at the other side keeps the second place with seven games lost. Yokohama BC will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Osaka E. will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked Yokohama BC at home.
