Regular Season Round 7: MBK Ruzomb. - Young Angels 96-46

Very significant was MBK Ruzomberok's (#1, 9-0) victory against 3rd placed Young Angels (5-4) 96-46. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Young Angels. MBK Ruzomberok dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Young Angels' 32 and made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Young Angels 44-16 including a 32-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. MBK Ruzomberok looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Young Angels' players. It was a great evening for American power forward Sherise Williams (191-93, college: Mississippi St., agency: Gamble Sports Management) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. International forward Michaela Rakova (190-94, college: USF) helped adding 15 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. Five MBK Ruzomberok players scored in double figures. At the losing side American guard Allie Leclaire (178-96, college: Green Bay, agency: LBM Management) responded with 9 points and 5 rebounds and international Michaela Balazova (180-99) scored 9 points. MBK Ruzomberok (9-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with a perfect record of 9 victories in a row. Young Angels at the other side keep the third position with four games lost. MBK Ruzomberok are looking forward to face Dubcek (#5) in Bratislava in the next round. Young Angels will play at home against Banska Bystrica and are hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
