Regular Season Round 8: Snakes Ostrava - Lokomotiva Plzen 94-62

Bottom-ranked Lokomotiva (0-8) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 94-62 loss to fifth ranked Snakes (6-2) in Ostrava on Sunday evening. They also forced 19 Lokomotiva turnovers and outrebounded them 42-28 including 19 on the offensive glass. Snakes looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Lokomotiva's players. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Dominik Holan (191-1) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jan Micka (201) who added 22 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Five Snakes players scored in double figures. Guard Stepan Srp (189-1) responded with 10 points and 6 rebounds and forward Tadeas Cabala (195) scored 9 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Snakes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with USK Praha and BK Kolin. Lokomotiva at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. Snakes will meet Nymburk (#6) on the road in the next round. Lokomotiva will play against Slavoj (#9) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
